Trademark Animal Talent has been supplying animals for filmwork in the South Florida area since 1981. Our specialty is trained dogs, but we love to use our horses, cats, chickens, doves, ducks, parrots, and reptiles, too. We have contacts and can help you find many exotics, also.
My husband, Phil Hoelcher, is very well known in the world of Schutzhund, a sport for working dogs that he has excelled at for 25 years. He is an expert in bite work scenes for this reason. Being a member of S.A.G., he often gets to combine his two loves, and puts together exciting and realistic attack sequences.
My specialty is trained mutts and I do a lot of rescue work here in Miami, where there is an overpopulation problem with dogs and cats of extreme proportion. Almost every mutt I work in film is off the street or out of a shelter.
We also use a lot of dogs and some cats, horses, reptiles, and birds owned by other individuals who send me pictures and information on their pet, or that I meet through training classes or on film sets. The major requirements for the animals is they must like being the center of attention and be able to tolerate the hustle and bustle that occurs on film sets. Cute faces, special talents, and some basic obedience are all helpful in finding work for your pet.
Feel free to contact me through e-mail or the postal service (my address can be found below). Send snapshots of your pet and details on his/her talents, training, and personality. When jobs come up, I e-mail many pictures of pets that I think would do the job at hand, and the director and clients pick the look they want.
We always have dogs that have been rescued and are looking for good homes.
